Las Orquídeas Spa Hotel was built in 2013. Its construction style is oriented to the original style of the area, with high quality materials and adapts harmoniously to its surroundings.
Each of its rooms are individually designed. The beds have been handmade one by one to achieve their own personality and endowed with great comfort. The white walls and shutters create a cool and calm atmosphere to relax. The Moroccan-inspired bathrooms have a powerful rain shower and each room has spacious bathtubs ready to provide you with maximum enjoyment.
The hotel’s breakfast room and cafeteria has a fully retractable glass wall to provide an airy atmosphere with attractive views over the lake and mountains.
Los Romanes is a 45 minute drive from Malaga airport and only 20 minutes from the beautiful Mediterranean coast at Torre del Mar. The Hotel is easily accessible and parking spaces are available for the convenience of our guests.
Las Orquídeas Spa Hotel is located in the authentic and picturesque village of Los Romanes overlooking the Viñuela reservoir and the mountains.
It is in the region of La Axarquia, Malaga, Andalusia. With the Mediterranean Sea to the south and the Sierras de Tejada, Almijara and Alhama to the north, with a privileged climate all year round.
Los Romanes is 490 meters above sea level.
The hotel has its own Spa which is located near the outdoor pool. Our beauty/holistic therapist, Debbie Roberts, offers a wide variety of wellness and beauty applications. Debbie trained in England and has 18 years experience in her profession. She is a member of the British Institute & Association of Electrolysis (BIAE) and trained in electric hair removal.
Spa Circuit with: Sauna with dry heat, Hydro-massage bath and aerotherapy, Wooden bath with temperature contrasts, Turkish bath and outdoor Jacuzzi. A la carte treatments.
Within a radius of 50 km around the hotel there are more than 40 golf courses, a paradise for all golfers. Thanks to the unique climate you can play all year round. The best and closest golf courses are the following:
• Málaga, Guadalhorce Club de Golf
• Antequera, Antequera Golf (for advanced golfers)
• Benalmádena, Golf Torrequebrada

In the surrounding area there are many riding stables and riding schools for all tastes and requirements.
Los Romanes, along with many small municipalities, holds three major festivals each year:
May – At the end of the month the Romería takes place. This event, which lasts 3 days, brings together the people of the area in a procession around the Embalse de La Viñuela. Along the way drinks and food are served free of charge. This event is always accompanied by other types of festivities such as barbecues, tents where beer is sold and drunk, horse shows, etc.
June – Verdiales takes place at the end of the month. This music and dance party is based on flamenco. Its origin is Almogía which is near the Port of Málaga. For this reason, the Verdiales festival is also called Fandango de Malaga.
August – The weekend around August 15th is reserved for the fair of the Virgen de Milagrosa. This important event is celebrated with flamenco and music. Each bar or restaurant prepares its own special paella.
